This is a great hotel. From the time we entered the front door the service was immaculate. The staff :- Aman, Mukul, Ush and Laura. They were amazing. Very friendly and on board to help all the time, even small things like water or teabags was not a problem for them they never kept us waiting and made me feel at home. Would recommend this hotel to every one. Can not wait to fo again. Five stars all the way.
My second time at this hotel, first time for business and this time to celebrate my partners birthday. The hotel staff were lovely, so welcoming and very helpful - they went above and beyond for me and my partner during our stay. The rooms are very spacious, and the beds are very comfortable and have a high level of cleanliness. All together, the stay was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to visit again.

Every meal was satisfying and well presented. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. Aman and his team went above and beyond to ensure that every need was taken care of promptly and with a smile. Their attentiveness, courtesy, and genuine hospitality made a significant difference and elevated the entire stay. First time staying at this hotel and it did not disappoint. The location is great, a few minutes from park and ride into the main town. The room was very large, the bed was super comfortable and the bath was lovely. We even treated outselves to some room service (pizza and burger) and it was amazing. The only reason i couldnt give it a 5 star was because the bathroom could do with an upgrade but it was clean and tidy. We will be staying here again.
Fantastic hotel overall close to the P&R for the city. We had an accessible room which was really well equipped in the bathroom and had plenty of space for the wheelchair. The restaurant in the evening was fabulous - great service, fantastic food and reasonably priced for a hotel. Really couldn't ask for more... highly recommended
Very comfortable second stay at this hotel Convenient for us to cycle in and out of York. Bed was comfortable, environment was quiet, plenty of parking. Breakfast tasty, staff helpful. Rooms a little dated, but there is everything you need. We also visited the Everlast Gym (2.1 miles away on trading estate with free parking) for swimming, steam room and sauna. Voucher available from reception. Thank you all for a lovely weekend!

We had our wedding here and had a wonderful experience. Bethany Burton the Events Manager is the greatest asset at the Mercure. Her professionalism, expertise and skills helped make our wedding day the most magical day. She was incredibly informed about the wedding industry and helped recommend local vendors, helped us manage expectations, plan to deadlines and kept us informed at every stage. No question or anything was too much to ask, and she communicated excellently with us throughout the planning stages and on the day. Thank you Beth! Thank you also to the whole Mercure team. The food was excellent on our wedding and during breakfast service. Thank you to Head Chef Lauren. I will note that the only slightly negative feedback from our family members and friends who stayed as guests at the hotel was that room pricing varied considerably, and that about 90% of them struggled with sleep due to plumbing/pipes sounding, creaky floors, and mechanical noise/electrical buzzing through the night. Also two of our guests' rooms were heavy with cigarette odour. Perhaps this is due to it being an older hotel, which can't be helped much, but worth noting for any large group bookings or parties.
